This tortoise endemic to the Galapagos Islands is a giant tortoise. It is, together with the Seychelles tortoise, one of the two most impressive species of tortoises. An adult specimen can measure up to 1.20 m for 400 kg! At the moment we cannot give the life expectancy of this species with certainty, but it is estimated that it can live up to 200.
